Talking about the Urban Design and The Purpose of Architecture, we can say that they have an important thing in common, the human living and developing in the city. Because the architec works with a singular piece, the building, the house, creating spaces in a micro scale for that human developing. The urban design works in a macro scale, because it involves the design of buildings, groups of buildings, spaces and landscapes, and establishing the processes that make successful development possible.
In terms of urban design, Caracas doesn't have a good one in general. There are many places where people have built things that should not be there, buildings that don't respect the city laws. And in terms of the purpose of architecture, there's a duality between designs that acomplish the purposes of the architecture and those that don't.
